Nexgard, and the newer NexGard Spectra, are trusted parasite treatments from Merial. So, what’s the difference?
Both NexGard and NexGard Spectra are given as a monthly flavored chewable. They help control flea infestations by killing adult fleas before they can lay eggs and also kill adult ticks which may carry deadly diseases.
NexGard Spectra has the addition of the active ingredient Milbemycin Oxime. This prevents the development of heartworm and provides protection against roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.
NexGard and NexGard Spectra may be given to dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age, with the exact product required based on your dog’s body weight. Please make sure you weigh your dog before administering.
