Sentinel vs Discontinued

Compare Sentinel Tablets to Discontinued Chewables

Sentinel Flavor Tabs are a convenient broad-spectrum parasite treatment for dogs that prevents heartworm, controls fleas, and treats whipworms, roundworm and hookworms. Discontinued is an updated formula that includes an extra active ingredient (praziquantel) to also guard against tapeworm.

Heartworm is a dangerous parasite that is simple to prevent, but difficult to treat once established. Both Sentinel and Discontinued prevent heartworm when administered monthly as directed. As with all heartworm preventatives, your dog should first be tested for existing heartworm prior to use.

Sentinel Flavor Tabs and Discontinued chewables both provide month long coverage, and can be administered year round if required.

Sentinel Flavor Tabs may be given to dogs and puppies as young as 4 weeks old, with a body weight of 2lbs (0.9kg). Discontinued is for use only on dogs and puppies at least 6 weeks of age, with a body weight of 2lbs (0.9kg) minimum.

Top tip: Once pets develop heartworm it can be very hard to treat, so prevention is always better than cure. Compare the major brands of heartworm preventatives.
